The Okçular Vakfı (Archers Foundation) is a cultural institution established to preserve the living heritage of traditional Turkish archery, to investigate it with scholarly depth, and to transmit it to future generations — approaching this venerable tradition not merely as a sport or technical discipline, but as a philosophy of life and the silent language of civilization.

Vakfın omurgasını oluşturan geleneksel Türk okçuluğu, yüzyıllar boyunca salt fiziksel bir eğitim disiplininin çok ötesine geçmiş; bedenin, zihnin ve ruhun tek bir noktada birleştiği, insanın kendi özüyle hesaplaştığı nadir varoluş deneyimlerinden biri olarak anlam kazanmıştır.

Traditional Turkish archery, which forms the very backbone of the Foundation's mission, has transcended the boundaries of purely physical training over the course of centuries, acquiring meaning as one of the rare existential experiences in which body, mind, and spirit converge at a single point — a moment in which the individual confronts the very essence of their own being.

In that founding instant when the arrow parts from the bow, time stands still, thought falls silent, and nothing remains but a purified intention. This moment — one of the most austere and profound secrets that the ancient wisdom of the East has entrusted to the human hand — is reborn through the language of art in the exhibition entitled Bullseye.
